How to Save Money on Food While on Vacation- Don't blow you budget on the high cost of eating out while on vacation. Here are tips to save money on it!

When you go on vacation, you don’t want to have to worry about anything especially money. Vacation is a time to enjoy life, have fun, and get that much needed rest and relaxation. However, just because you’re on vacation doesn’t mean you can’t be a little thrifty. Here are my favorite ways to save money
on food while on vacation.

How to Save Money on Food While on Vacation

Budget your food Costs:

Before going on vacation, it is always wise to make a budget. Calculate the number of people you will be feeding as well as how much money you will need to spend on breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You will want to put aside cash for just eating while on vacation.

Look for All-Inclusive Resorts:

I absolutely love all-inclusive resorts! You get your meals, drinks, and snacks included in the cost of your hotel. This makes it so much easier to plan and gives you leeway to eat or drink whenever you want. You can find all-inclusive deals on sites like Travelocity,, Expedia, and Priceline. You will save the most money on packages when you book during off months such as January, February, August, and September.

Buy Coupons for Favorite Restaurants:

Before going anywhere, you can pre-pay for your restaurant by going to sites like Groupon and Super Saving Social. You can get fantastic deals such as $40 worth of food for $20! You can also get discounted gift cards that will save you extra money from sites like

Use eBates for Purchases:

If you are a thrifty shopper, you can double your savings just by using eBates. When you search for discount coupons for restaurants on Groupon and even all-inclusive packages, make sure you buy through eBates. eBates gives you a percentage off of all listed sites when you shop through them. This means, in essence, you could get double the savings!

Make your own Meals:

Another great option for saving money while on vacation is to book suites with a kitchen and cook your own meals. Buying food at the grocery store is much more budget friendly than buying food from a restaurant. Plan out your meals and cook them at “home.” Planning ahead is worth every penny. The more you plan, the more you have to spend on your vacation excursions. Although, you can save on those by planning as well.
